“Beauty, art and spirituality are three separate things but they each have much to do with the other two. It is a deeply spiritual practice to notice and appreciate beauty and also to participate in its unfolding in this world. My hope is that my art and my life will bring great joy and meaning to others, just as they have brought to me.” (Akana, 2019, p.21)
